Cincinnati Recreation Commission Seniors:
Not over the Hill. At the Top and enjoying the view.
Cincinnati Recreation Commission Seniors are active and aware. They want to play, relax, learn and enjoy. They're at the top of their life enjoying their view. Recreational, cultural, educational, and leisure activities designed for an active lifestyle are offered at over 16 senior centers located throughout the Cincinnati area. Our leisure and cultural activities mean relaxing and enjoying.
Whether its basketball, volleyball, swimming, bowling, karate, or Tai Chi, our young-at-heart seniors go for the gusto. We also help seniors attain a new level of physical fitness and health. Many of the senior centers features weight rooms, aerobics, health walking, and yoga classes.
The Cincinnati Recreation Commission has been serving the seniors of Cincinnati and the surrounding areas since 1967. The Oakley Senior Center is the oldest CRC senior center which celebrated their 34th anniversary in 2002. Many of the centers are housed in local neighborhood community centers and CMHA buildings. All adults 50 and older are welcome to attend any senior center. A membership fee is required for recreational activities and very nominal fees for classes. Nine of the present senior centers are nutrition sites. Please call the Senior Division at 352-4012 or e-mail lynn.melzer@cincinnati-oh.gov concerning senior programs.
Recreation programs and facilities are open to all citizens regardless of race, sex, color, religion, national origin or disability. CRC is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to supporting the American with Disabilities Act. Please call in advance if you require special accommodations.
